Juan played professional soccer in Peru from 1984 - 1999.  After his retirement, he came to the United States to begin his coaching career.  He quickly went through the USSF coaching education process and was awarded the A license in 2006.  That same year, he was also one of the first coaches to take the USSF Fitness level 1 course and later, contracted with then US Men's National Fitness coach, Pierre Barrieu, to teach his curriculum in Texas.  Juan has a great love for the game and because of his passion, brings out the best in the children he trains.  Juan continues to learn and develop his skills at every opportunity that arises, by attending coaching courses and symposiums throughout the United States and abroad.  In addition to coaching, Juan continues to play the game he loves.
