Spring 2025 Fusion Greatwood Soccer Overview

 

February 27th Coach/Assistant Coach meeting 6:00pm -7:00pm at Dickinson on the back porch – bring a chair --  door prize will be given out – come get all your supplies, disc, pinnies, whistle, med kit.  This is not a meet-n-greet of your coach.  You will meet your coach the first day of practice.  This meeting is for coaches and assistants only.

 

Roster Release -   You will hear from your coach by Sunday, March 2nd.  If you haven’t heard anything by 5pm on Sunday, March 2nd, please contact me at Karie.Prevette@gmail.com

 

Monday March 3rd   Practice starts

 

March 9 – 15th LCISD SPRING BREAK – Check with your coach if practice will be held.

 

March 15th   Game Schedule will be posted

 

March 22nd  Opening Day – First Game

 

Games:  March 22, 29; April 5, 12, 26;  May 3,10

 

March 23rd Pro Day!!! FREE!!!   Save the date 4:00pm – 5:00pm at Dickinson. Come join Kaptiva Soccer Club and learn new skills.  Door prizes will be given at 5pm

 

April 5th  Picture Day   --  Pictures are approximately 45 minutes prior to the start of your game.  We encourage all players to be in the team picture even if you would rather not purchase the photos.  Each head coach receives a nice team picture on a plaque.

 

April 12th  Pacific Coast Taco Day – join us at PCT to support our major sponsor. We will have the best face painter in town (FREE) and will have door prize drawings!!!  We love door prizes!!

 

NO GAME on April 19th

 

May 1st Registration opens for Fall 2025!!

 

May 10th  Last game day and CELEBRATION – we will have a jump house/obstacle course/giant dual slide, food for everyone and door prizes (must be present to win). We have well over $1000 in door prizes but you MUST be present at the 11am drawing to win!!!!

JUST A FEW REMINDERS

1. Each player does need a #3 soccer ball.  Please write your players name with a sharpie on the ball.  U9/U10+ can utilize a size 4 ball, but it is not necessary to buy a new one if you already have a size 3.  We are NOT responsible for lost balls or balls and other items left at the field.

2. Each player should have shin guards, socks to cover the shin guards, rubber soled shoes or soccer cleats and black shorts for game day.

3. There is no entering the school during practice or games.

4. Please bring your own water. We want you to stay hydrated!

5. Practice is not a “drop off” service.  A parent or guardian must be at the field with your player at all times.

6. Please help keep the fields clean by taking all trash with you when you leave.

7. We will follow all rules of LCISD.

8. Please DO NOT bring your pets with you to practice or games. This is very distracting to the players.

9. If your player is not feeling well, please stay home.

10. Have Lots of Fun!!
